A charming vintage Lladró miniature porcelain plate, hand made in Spain and featuring a delicate raised-relief scene of a ballerina and minstrel / musician.
Dating approximately to the 1970s, this small decorative plate is a lovely and less commonly seen example of Lladró porcelain beyond the company’s famous figurines.
The reverse bears the authentic blue LLADRÓ – HAND MADE IN SPAIN factory mark.
DESIGN & DETAILS
The plate features a softly sculpted white bas-relief scene at the centre, framed by a beautiful pale blue glazed border.
The relief depicts a graceful ballerina with a seated minstrel or musician, creating a romantic theatrical scene typical of Lladró’s elegant figurative style.
The contrast between the matte-looking white relief and glossy soft-blue border gives this miniature piece wonderful depth despite its small size.
